Joining Override

Why should I join Override?

Because it is the only way to track and combine your savings earned at all our retail partners.

Can I track my rewards without joining Override?

No. Though you can redeem your savings at the pump using your Shaw's Rewards Card or your Dunkin' Donuts Card without having an Override account, the only way to track your savings online is to join Override.

What will you do with my email address?

Your email address is used to provide you with information about your Override account and its related activity. When you sign up for an Override account, you can also choose to receive our monthly newsletter as well as any other relevant program information and offers by email.

Override Card

How do I get an Override Card?

All you have to do is join; it's free. You can also link other participating partner rewards cards to your Override account, as well as track your rewards and redemptions at Override.com.

If you requested an Override Card when you signed up, you will receive two Override Cards in the mail. Use them for:

  • your car
  • your wallet
  • Or, share with a family member

How long will it take for me to receive my Override Card after I've signed up for one at Override.com?

Your two new Override Cards should arrive in the mail within 7-10 business days at the address you provided at sign up.

If for any reason you do not receive your Cards within 7 – 10 business days, please call us at 1-866-774-7975 or email us at support@override.com.

I requested a card when I joined Override, but I didn't receive it. What should I do?

If your Cards have not arrived within 7 - 10 business days, we can reissue them. Simply email us at support@override.com or contact us by phone at 1-866-774-7975 any time day or night.

I've lost my Override Card. How do I get a new one?

Call 1-866-774-7975 to speak with a Customer Service Representative, any time day or night, or email us at support@override.com. Your new cards should arrive by mail within 7 - 10 business days.

Can I use my Override Card to earn rewards at Dunkin' Donuts, Shaw’s, or any other partner?

To earn rewards, you’ll still need to use the partner's card. Use your Override Card to redeem your rewards.

Do I have to have an Override Card to roll back my price at the pump?

No. You can use ANY participating partner card that is linked to your Override account. ALL of your eligible earned fuel rewards will then be redeemed, no matter what card you use to roll back your price at the pump.

For your convenience, you can always use your Override Card at the pump to see your price roll back. No matter what partners are associated with your Override account, your Override Card will redeem all of your available rewards.

Rewards and/or My Account

Can I combine my savings each week?

Yes, you can combine earned rewards depending on their expiration date. For example, if you shop today at Shaw’s and earn 10 cents/gallon and then shop again within 14 days, you can redeem them all at the same time at the pump for even greater savings.

You can also combine your savings through multiple partners as long as you have signed up on Override.com and have linked your cards on the "Link Partners" page.

Link your cards and your earned rewards will automatically be combined on your Override account. All earned savings will remain available in your Override account until they've been used or they've expired. Check your rewards status by logging in to your account and selecting the Transaction History tab in "My Account."

Can I only use part of my earned savings when I buy gas?

All of your available savings will be used to roll back your price during a single transaction up to 20 gallons.

Your fuel rewards are applied to only what you pump in a single fuel transaction. There is no cash back or credit for any "unused" gallons.

What happens if my rewards balance is greater than the price of gas at the pump?

The lowest gas price you can receive is 9 cents per gallon for regular grade. Override will apply your available rewards until your price is 9 cents per gallon. Any remaining cents per gallon rewards will be stored in your Override account until used in your next fuel transaction or until they expire.

My spouse and I share an Override account. Can we split our rewards?

At this time, rewards cannot be split between spouses.

In order for each of you to redeem your own individual rewards, you’ll need to create two separate Override accounts.

How do I know when rewards expire?

Check your rewards status at any time by logging in to your account.

When you don't have access to computer, you can also speak to one of our Customer Service representatives at 1-866-774-7975 any time, day or night.

Help! I'm having trouble logging in.

The email address you entered during registration is your user ID. If you're having trouble remembering your password you can request your password here.

How can I check my current available balance?

Log in to your account at Override.com and select the "Transaction History" tab to view your account's activity. If you don't have an Override account, you can easily create one.

Why is my current available balance a day old?

Though your rewards may be available to use at the pump as quickly as 30 minutes after earning your reward, it may take 24 – 48 hours for you to see this activity online in your account at Override.com.

How do I change my account information?

Update your information any time by logging in to your account at Override.com. Once logged in, select the "Contact Information" tab to update your address, email, phone numbers, and preferences.

Can I transfer my rewards to a charity organization or another individual?

Currently our program doesn’t support the transfer of rewards between Override accounts or charitable organizations.

Through the Override Employee Fuel Rewards Program, businesses provide their employees with a cents-off per gallon reward which can be combined with other partner rewards to maximize savings at the pump.

Partners

Can I link more than one card from the same partner to my account?

You can only have one card per partner. For example, if you have more than one Dunkin' Donuts Card, you can only link one of them to your Override account.

Shaw's

Can I add up my purchases from multiple visits at Shaw's to reach the minimum amount required for my gas savings?

Your savings can only be earned during a single transaction. Please ask for details about minimum purchases at your local participating Shaw's.

Can I use my Shaw’s Receipt to redeem my rewards?

No. Rewards must be redeemed using your Shaw’s Rewards Card, Shaw’s Key Tag, Override Card, or your registered Dunkin’ Donuts Card.

Are you no longer giving out paper coupons?

As of February 27, 2009, Shaw’s Supermarkets began issuing their fuel rewards electronically. At that time, your Shaw’s Rewards Card became your passport to grocery savings at Shaw’s AND to reducing your gas price at participating fuel locations.

How do electronic rewards work?

When you visit one of our participating Override fuel locations to fill up, you’ll see instructions at the pump on how to redeem your rewards, depending on the gas station’s pump technology.

You can use your Shaw’s Rewards Card, your registered Dunkin’ Donuts Card, your Shaw’s Associate Rewards Card, or your Override Card to redeem your savings. Just be sure to sign up on Override.com and link your partner card to your Override account.

Does everything I buy in one shopping trip count towards my Override gas savings?

Some items - tobacco, alcohol, fluid milk, gift cards, pharmacy, tax and deposit - do NOT count towards the minimum purchase required to earn a reward.

Can I link more than one Shaw’s Rewards Card to my Override account?

You can only link one Shaw’s Rewards Card to your account.

Does my Shaw's key tag work at the pump?

To receive your Override rewards you must insert a wallet-size card – just like your credit or debit card – when prompted for your rewards card at the pump.

Of course, your Shaw's key tag will continue to work when you shop at Shaw's.

If your Shaw's card has the word "supermarket" written in green below the Shaw's logo, you will need to replace it with a newer version of the Shaw's card (see images below).

You can replace your Shaw’s card by visiting the customer service desk at your local Shaw’s Supermarket. Once you’ve received your new Shaw’s Rewards Card, be sure to update your Override account with your new Shaw’s card number by logging into your Override account, selecting the "Link Partners" tab, deleting your old Shaw’s card number, and adding your new card number.

If you choose NOT to replace your old Shaw’s Rewards Card and you have an Override account, you can continue to shop with your Shaw’s Rewards Card to earn fuel savings, but you’ll need to use your Override Card or another linked partner card to redeem your rewards at the pump.

Dunkin' Donuts

Can I link more than one Dunkin' Donuts Card to my Override account?

Yes, you can link up to five registered Dunkin' Donuts Cards on your Override account. If you’re already a member, link your cards in the "link partner" section. Or join today and link your cards as part of your signup process.

I have a Dunkin’ Donuts Card but don't see my rewards in my Override account. Why?

For every $20 you spend using your registered Dunkin’ Donuts Card, you receive a 5 cents/gallon reward.

If you do not see your rewards as expected after reaching the $20 threshold, here are some possible explanations:

First, check to see if your Dunkin’ Donuts Card has been linked to your Override account.

Log in to your account at Override.com and select the "Link Partners" tab. All of the cards linked to your account are listed on this page. Double-check to make sure the number associated with your account is the same as the 16-digit number on the back of your Dunkin’ card.

Second, make sure you have registered your card at DunkinDonuts.com

In order for Dunkin' Donuts to know that you’ve earned your Dunkin' reward, your card must be registered at www.dunkindonuts.com . From the DunkinDonuts.com home page, select the DD Card tab, and then “Register Card.” Once you’ve completed your Dunkin Donuts Card registration and linked it to your Override account, you’ll see your rewards listed in your Override account’s Transaction History within 48 hours of earning them.

Third, make sure you received a "Dunkin' Perks" email from Dunkin’ Donuts.

You'll receive these “Dunkin’ Perks: You’ve earned your Fuel Reward” notifications if you "agreed" to email communications from Dunkin' Donuts. Dunkin’ Donuts sends its registered cardholders an email every time they’ve earned a reward. Once you've received this email from Dunkin' Donuts, your reward will be visible in your Override account Transaction History within 48 hours.

How do I know if a gas station is participating in the Override program?

You can find a complete list of participating fuel locations in your area through our partner locator tool.

Does Override have anything to do with how participating gas stations set the price of gas?

Override does not set the prices at which program participants sell fuel. For questions about fuel prices, please contact our retail fuel partners.

Is diesel fuel eligible for fuel discounts through Override?

Yes. Participating gas stations provide discounts up to 20 gallons on both diesel and gas. Simply follow the instructions at the pump to redeem your fuel savings on your diesel purchase.
