SOBEYS AND IRVING OIL EXTEND GAS SAVINGS PROGRAM
Consumers have lowered the price of more than 43 million litres
SAINT JOHN, NB - The popular gas savings program between Irving Oil and Sobeys has been extended through Dec. 31, the companies announced today.
Originally scheduled to end on Oct. 15, shoppers throughout the Maritimes can continue to earn cents off per litre savings at all Sobeys locations until the end of the year. The gas savings can be redeemed at Irving locations throughout Atlantic Canada.
“The reaction to the program continues to be so strong that we responded with the longest extension of the program so far,” said Harry Hadiaris, Executive Director of Irving Oil Marketing, G.P. “We’ll be able to offer these savings right through the holiday season.”
The program is available in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. A total of 80 Sobeys locations offer the savings, which can be redeemed at 280 Irving stations.
Customers who earn cents off per litre by making a minimum purchase at Sobeys receive coupons from their sales associate. The coupons are valid for 60 days, and can be redeemed immediately or combined to save even more per litre.

Since the program began in May 2008, consumers in Atlantic Canada have lowered their price on more than 43 million litres of fuel.
